Waterproofing for New Construction
Can you imagine how depressing it would be to find your new basement is leaking or moldy? Jerry’s Waterproofing has the products and skills to keep your new building dry.
We offer interior and exterior waterproofing and drainage solutions from the best companies in the industry.
Waterproofing Membrane
We are proud to use the waterproofing membrane called Watchdog. This reliable waterproofing product is made by Tremco, a leader in the industry. The membrane is a flexible, polymer-enhanced solution that is spray-applied to poured concrete foundations. The membrane bridges foundation cracks and provides water resistance throughout the year.
Basement Waterproofing Systems
Another trusted product from Tremco Waterproofing Products is the Tuff-N-Dri system. This system has been keeping basements dry since 1983 and is ranked as the #1 brand of basement waterproofing in the country. The Tuff-N-Dri system uses an elastic membrane in combination with a durable foundation board, called the Warm-N-Dri board. This system will keep your basement dry for far longer than the 30-year transferable performance warranty.
Drain Product
DrainStar strip drain product, again from Tremco, can be used alongside the products detailed above. By replacing your traditional drain tile and gravel systems with DrainStar, you will have a much more effective drainage system. DrainStar can be installed by Jerry’s Waterproofing at the same time as we install the rest of your waterproofing system, saving you time and money. You won’t have to hire a separate contractor.
Radon Mitigation for New Construction
Iowa and Nebraska have some of the highest concentrations of radon in the country. In 2015, a law was passed requiring new homes to have a radon mitigation system installed. many homes in Nebraska and Iowa have higher concentrations of radon than the EPA’s action level of 4pCi/L.
Jerry’s Waterproofing is a licensed radon mitigator in Iowa and Nebraska. We use the sub-slab depressurization system (SSD). A negative vent (PVC) system is installed below the foundation and extends up, ending at a point above ground level. We believe this system to be the most effective and affordable method on the market. The SSD system can be installed in less than a day, so your new home construction will stay on target.
